Event Details
The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia is a proud partner of the National Association of Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive! This awesome annual event brings in hundreds of pounds of food to support families and prevent homelessness.
Volunteers will serve in one of two roles:
- Volunteers will carpool with another volunteer or drive their own vehicle to a designated neighborhood and collect food donations from residents' mailboxes and return them to the local Post Office
- Volunteers will work as a team on campus to sort and separate food donations as they are delivered
Click here to register through The Neighborhood Center's Volunteer Portal
Volunteers should wear comfortable attire that they don't mind getting dirty, closed-toed shoes, and bring their own sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, and water bottle for comfort. We request that ALL volunteers wear a solid Red Shirt, so that homeowners are aware of your participation in the Drive. If you are interested in purchasing Official Stamp Out Hunger Merchandise, you can find that here!
Youth under the age of 18 are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the entirety of their shift.
If you have any questions, please contact Madelyn Rivest, Director of Community Engagement at The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia, at madelyn.rivest@nhcwv.org or at 386-734-8120 ext. 205.
