A Thank You From The Sharing Center

The AAGO Foundation is a long-time, proud supporter of The Sharing Center. This organization provides support to members of the Central Florida community who are experiencing food insecurity and/or homelessness. It is always a fun and fulfillinig afternoon to work alongside our friends at The Sharing Center, we hope you'll join us for the next volunteer date! We received the letter below on March 5, 2021 and wanted to share Melissa's kind words with all of our incredible Friends of the Foundation volunteers.

To Whom It May Concern

The Apartment Association of Greater Orlando (AAGO) and the AAGO Foundation are amazing community partners for The Sharing Center in Longwood, Florida. Last year AAGO volunteered during our Holiday Food Distributions. Because of their efforts we were able to distribute 400 holiday meals to families in need for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. This year, AAGO has committed to filling every volunteer position for each Holiday Meal Distribution. Due to COVID-19 our departments have seen a dramatic decrease in volunteers. AAGO plans to help by serving throughout all of our departments this year, which is an incredible contribution.

The AAGO Foundation has also provided financial contributions, their last being a $10,000 gift in February this year. The efforts of AAGO and the AAGO Foundation are a role model for all organizations. Their commitments to our mission do not go unseen, and furthermore we could not do what we do without these great partners.
