2022 Fall Food Drive

It's that time of year again! The AAGO Foundation's Fall Food Drive is set to begin on October 1, 2022. We are doing things a little different this year; if your community is interested in being a collection site please sign up using by clicking here. 

Dates extended! Due to Hurricane Ian, the Food drive will run through November 6th!

Signage Drop off And Food Drive Dates

September 26-30th - You are welcome to pick up signage at the AAGO office. We will also have volunteers visiting donation sites with signage for the Fall Food Drive. (AAGO offices will be closed 9/28-9/30 for the FAA Conference.) October 4-7th- volunteer members will drop off donation signs to participating communities.

November 7-8th – A Friends of the Foundation committee member will visit your donation site to pick up food donations and provide the option to opt-in to the Toys for Tots Drive (more details below). 

*We are unable to provide an exact drop-off and pick-up date/times, as this will depend on your volunteer’s personal schedule. 

Food Drive Boxes and Decorating Competition

We ask that you please purchase or recycle a box for the donation drop-offs (if your maintenance team has an appliance box from a dishwasher or microwave, these can make awesome donation drop-off bins!) 

 We encourage your team to decorate the Food Drive drop-off boxes and email a photo to heather@aago.org. Be sure to “Like” AAGO Foundation on Facebook and vote for your favorite box décor. We’ll have a special prize for the winning team! 

Promoting The Fall Food Drive

We encourage you to use all avenues to market the Fall Food Drive to your residents, including email blasts, social media, and with signage in key spots throughout your community. We will provide 1 bandit sign to participating communities that can be placed in a high-traffic area. The bandit sign is property of the AAGO Foundation and will be picked up with your food donations at the end of the drive so we can use them again next year.

All collections will be donated to two our our 2022 Charity Partners. The Orlando Dream Center and The Sharing Center both serve residents in need in our local community. Thank you for your interest in being a part of the AAGO Foundation's mission to give back!
